2023 Applications due July 31st!
THE CAROL E MACPHERSON SCHOLARSHIP FUND IS EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH AAUW MINNESOTA
Our relationship with the University of Minnesota, and especially The Women's Center, had been a nurturing and flourishing experience for 43 years. Unfortunately, in the fall of 2018, there was a complaint filed by Mark Perry, an economics and finance professor at the University of Michigan-Flint, who has made it his “lifelong mission” to stamp out anti-male discrimination in education. His complaint, under title 9, would have made it necessary to change our mission statement.
After much thought, it was decided that we were not willing to alter the criteria for applications, believing that there is still a long way to go for women who are cis, trans and femme to find an equal footing in both education and life. We are looking forward to our new partnership with the American Association of University Women Minnesota.
This new relationship means that our scholarships are now available for all Minnesota institutions of higher learning.
